Former Minister to chair board of State agency
Former minister Hussein Maalim Mohammed has been appointed as the new chairman of Ewaso Ng’iro North Development Authority (Ennda).
Mr Mohammed, who served as a Cabinet minister from 1983 when he was Dujis MP in Garissa until 2002 when he retired from politics, took over the office on Monday. He has replaced Rehema Dida Jaldesa, the widow of former Moyale MP Guracha Galgalo, who was moved to the Kenya Industrial Estate (KIE) in the same capacity.
Speaking after taking over the office at the headquarters in Isiolo town, Mohammed said he would not tolerate corrupt officials.
The ceremony was witnessed by Environment and Natural Resources Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhungu, board members,
Managing Director Omar Sheikh and other senior officials.
